Dina, the Failed Witch

"My wand and books have more magic in them than I could ever dream to have. They're all that's keeping my title as a witch."

Dina could show her ability to easily manipulate magic without the use of said wand and spell book, seeming far more proficient without them. Mayhaps a quick flick of the wrist to demonstrate something without consciously realizing the magic it requires.

In terms of clothing, I would think of something simple yet with enough cutouts to show various tattoos embedded in her skin.

Home wise, probably a simple hut and garden, buried under the overhang of a cliff.

And once she looks East, something akin to a strong force of nature, say a tidal wave or severe lightening storm, she is inspired by the raw force of their power. Collecting south bound items would include items from her garden for failed attempts at spells such as herbs and crystals and occasionally the thorns off said herbs and potential sources of ink. As we turn westbound, judgement sits on the horizon in the form of countless others in a nearby village with seemingly no magical ability outperforming her with spell pronunciation and ability. Finally looking North for the call to action, there could be news of a mentor able to teach magic to literally anyone.
